Thank you ame - that's so interesting... On that topic - just now Sulev responded to a distant eagle call!

11:38 Sulev got tired of waiting. he must have known that Linda was near. he got up and took off. they have already hidden the egg inside hay. :slap:
Image

then they sang together in the forest and then within a minute Linda landed on the nest.
FULL BRAKES!!
Image

i got that on a video but again the sound and picture are so misplaced! you can hear Sulev leaving, both singing and Linda landing a long time before Sulev is seen leaving the nest. :slap: it creates a silly effect...

Linda is now in that half-crouch, chest up position, as she was yesterday before we saw the egg. Not fully on the nest bowl, though.

I missed the woodpecker, too.
Stop and go with the cam today, also in Nova.

She hasn't started the serious business of egg-brooding, yet. Wait until all the eggs are laid, Do we count the days from the date the first egg was laid, or from the day that brooding starts in earnest?

14:20 Linda stood up and began to yell and i was wearing a headset, wuaahh! :faint: :rotf:

she called a lot. she must have seen someone flying around, someone (big?) else than Sulev because she didn't look pleased at all.

i think it's safest to start counting from the start, that is today. actually i already did. then we'll know when is the earliest possible day when something can happen.

EDIT: you right Fireblade! there Sulev is! i could not see anything because my head was exploding...

EDIT 2nd time: Sulev's flight was in the breakpoint of two recordings (Murphy's law!) so i can't make a decent recording of it. instead i took snapshots and made a gif of Sulev's flight to the background tree. for some reason it fails to upload in the Bucket (Murphy's law!!) and Mejuba does not support gifs. so i uploaded those picturesin a separate album: http://www.mejuba.com/albums/amelo/157097/1
