I have watched the Norfolk eagles for 2-3 years now.

I see that Ma laid her first egg on Feb 10th.

There is a webcam at the Hornby nest again this year. These eagles are an ageing pair, whose eggs are not always fertile. They raised two chicks last year, so this could be an "off" year for them.
There are to cameras with sound. No night vision

For those who remember the Norwegian Sea Eagle webcam run by smp.no, Roger E has just posted this on another forum. This year the nest will have a more secure fixing for the camera, and there is/will be sound, too.

hello!

I just would like to tell that today I saw there in the Archipelago Sea in the Ospray Webcam an Ospray! They are supposed to begin their nesting time soon.. in some next weeks. Last year they didn't have egg, no chicks.. but this year will propably be different! The pair of osprays of that nest is more adult now.

edited the 18.2.2009 Oh, excuse me!The bird on the nest is a White Tailed eagle, not an Ospray!! I can't understand how did I make this cardinalerror!

Ricky, I went to check on Roger's post and saw that he has written this

I hope this is good news for you all - and I also hope the eagles will get rid of all the snow soon so we can be able to see them in their nest again. I will let you know when we are ready and what time we will open the website. You cannot go into it today. Nothing to look at right now.

So it looks as though they haven't posted a link yet, as the webcam is not yet live.

I think they are still finalising things - there's going to be a second cam and some sound this season!!
But as the cam is up and running I have started a new thread for it at HWF!!

About the Eagle Owls (Bubo bubo) in Falun copper mines, Sweden http://www.freasp.se/pages/uv.htm (about getting on the cam here ): weather is less cold, some activity again. One of the pair has been sitting for nearly 4 hours on a ladder, 350 m from camera, so only hazy view
Owls are defending territory now, foxes have been scared off, dog owners are warned by owl cam people not to walk dogs there .
PS. Still sitting there (?!), for 7 hours since morning. In snowfall ...

09-03-12 Beautiful eagle owl on camera ca 7-7.30, then cameraman panned out to misty background view - awwwwww ...

Hello everyone!

Gladly we can announce that our white stork cam is online again!
And only about an hour after our guys had finished cleaning the nest from plastics or other possibly dangerous material and left the roof top what was to be seen: our friend was already there! Earlier than ever on the 14.3. the male arrived.

Now we are waiting for the female and for many many eggs and hopefully many young storks fledging.

Last year we had technical problems with the picture of the cam

, we hope it was possible to solve them.

It´s a water hole in Botswana. On the right you can chose other webcams like cranes or grizzlies.
At the moment locusts are chirping and insects are flying through the air.

We have so many eagles around here - I live in Surrey, BC, near the Canadian/US Border. When I go to work, the highway goes through the delta of the Fraser River, and you can see eagles in trees, standing in fields and of course, flying. There are also lots of hawks along the highway, and Great Blue Herons. We also get Snow Geese who use the local fields as a stop-over on their migrations north and south.

The link above should also lead you to other eagle cams around southern British Columbia - the nest on Vancouver Island has just had a hatchling.
