i'm sorry IREN but i must be strict about the language...

it's still windy but it hasn't rained since morning. actually i think that the rain stopped some time before Sulev came...
Linda's head feathers are dry now and and blowing in the wind. she was looking around like Sulev earlier. something interesting..?

what a coincidence! i happened to have a short clip almost right at that time ready: Linda was turning eggs them. i think the birds who were passing then were just "normal" gulls. (but i can't say what gulls. the voices sounded larger than mew gulls... seagulls? :help: )

just a few minutes ago there was a long flock of some geese passing... my camera (or internet) is jamming so that i got only a short sample of the voices. i hope it's long enough so that someone can say what geese these were. (they didn't sound like Barnacle's geese which flew by the seal island last autumn in a flock of hundreds...)

edit: maybe they were greylag geese (Anser anser)? for comparison listen here:

(it takes some time before the sound gets uploaded)

i took some snapshots of the video i got from the last change. it seems that Sulev brought a good nice bunch of hay with him when he came. he approached the nest against the wind but landing was still a bit tricky. he seemed to roll around his vertical axis...
Image

... and landed sideways, but not like Linda in the previous change with back first. 8-)
Image

a video in half-speed of the landing.

20:37 Sulev brought a bedtime snack for Linda, a fish. Linda did some whistling and beeping before having the fish in one go.

Linda was already sleeping with her head tucked under the wing...
Image

20:36 Sulev brought an unexpected evening snack to Linda in "bed".
Image

she was delighted and swallowed the fish in one piece. first it looked like she was trying to swallow it sideways.

Many thanks - very much helped, the good translator! Today grandsons didn't allow to look a forum and easily passed everything passed. Surprising birds, I look forward baby birds!
