Oxana may be a bad mother because she is too selfish.

15:43 Madis arrivés with a stick. Madis arranges the great sticks, he pushes nearly Oxana from the nest with a stick and later Oxana helps him

I think she is just young. More like a teenager. But she is very strong and that is good for the Ospreys.asteria wrote:Oxana may be a bad mother because she is too selfish.

Thanks for the vid-- the other birds flying around are captured, see at 2:30 and near the end. It looks like a pair and there is no reaction from Madis and Oxanna. If it was Piret she seems settled in a new relationship! However I would expect more objection from the nest if it was another Osprey pair.
And is Oxanna helping with that stick or just moving it out of her way??

Oh my, what a day so far!
One more time, I want to thank Urmas and the team for their hard work yesterday in fixing the camera! Without it we would have missed all this drama!

if the situation is confermed, and Oxana claim the nest, it would be great to see Piret in Ilmar's nest the 2 nests are only 70km away each other, and Ilmar's nest has no girl in this moment

My dream is that Piret was happy and beautiful children brought up with a new spouse, for example, Ilmars. I cry from what Piret flown, and from what I see Piret. But most importantly, Piret alive. I hope it does not hit hard by Oksana.

Pirets return we had all imagined differently ... But these are human concepts ... I still hope for a happy twist!
I think we should Oxanas behavior therefore do not evaluate or judge.
Wait!

Oxanna pecks at the moss, but does not seem to know what to do, it's more like she is looking for nestovers. She moves a stick that was in her way. Very quiet but looking all around.

Madis had not much time last year to get used to Piret’s transmitter.
Is it possible that he is irritated by that thing now and prefers a “natural” mate?

One planet meets another. Planet 1 says to Planet 2, “Hey you look terrible”. Planet 2 says, “Yes I know. I have Homo Sapiens.” Planet 1 says, “Don’t worry. I had that too and it will soon disappear.

Oxanna now perching one legged, looking more comfy. She is waiting for the nest fairies to come and fix the nest . . .
