27th July:
Seems to be a youngster with ear tassels. No-one else has tassels left at this time of summer.

It's so nice to see all your guests, Olga, they still keep coming in spite of the work going on. Hope you are also doing well and can enjoy the summer and the hopefully nice and long autumn!

28th July, Paula
Paula has become somewhat tame. She watch at me through the glass, and if seeds are finished, she waits. If I open the window she jumps one meter far, and returns immediately as I shut the window.
I didn't ever try to get her to come closer to me or my hand.

After Baby face had left came a new squirrel, a young one, different to the two young ones on 29th July. . Female or male? It might be one of the kits of this summer. Their looks change 'fast', so.. I am not sure who is this one.

Olga : You and the squirrels seems to be very busy the last few days. It's so nice to see a lot of the good old friends and some new one on your feeder.
Do you think Paula is maybe really pregnant? For me it seems so, but you are the expert and you know your squirrels better than I.

Hi, Manu! It is possible that Paula is, or she has been pregnant lately. I remember to have seen in some earlier summer, a very small squirrel baby visiting the feeder as late as in September. I'll try to find the picture I took of it.
The pups we have seen this summer have grown that much that I can't 'recognize' them, or to differ them from each others. I think at least three of them has been visiting during last two three weeks.
I am not a squirrel expert, I do not know very much of them, but I have only followed their life here around the Squirrel hill. I have learn to love them!
I have never seen them to attack towards birds e g. They may attack to each others, but mostly they avoid confrontations.
During years I have noticed that each of them look a bit different, and they have a bit different ways to behave. Some of them are very very shy, alert, others are lively and like careless etc.
It's August. I have been quite busy. I have also avoided sitting too much at PC. Soon begins the back rehabilitation. I don't want the physiotherapist to ask if I have been sitting too much, forgetting my 'homework with the back bones'!
