I just opened the cam
08:54h Something disturbed one of the youngsters (I see it is Miiko)
My breathing stopped
Suddenly a WTE landed on the nest

Hello everybody
Did you see that (at around 8:40)? The 2 young were on the nest, then they heard something. One flew away immediately. The other remained with a very agressive behaviour. Then arrived an eagle on the nest. He is still there. And the second young left at the same time

Eagle in the nest
Part II
Yes, WTE had no rings. I think it was a youngster. Second/ third winter or something? Maybe Ame can tell us a bit more about the age of the eagle.
It was a beautiful guy but he don't have to attack our storklets!!!!!!

OMG, what a drama this morning, an eagle in the nest
I hope Miiko is ok, I think it sounded as if he chrash- landed in the bushes.
Thank you all for pictures, videos and comments, what a luck that you saw it
The eagle was beautiful, for a moment it almost looked as if he considered it as a future home;)
A huge thunderstorm is comming, we can hear it now, so unfortunately I have to log off...

ohhoh! a WTE!! on a BS nest!
wow it was so great that Liina and Miiko could fly well already. i haven't watched the videos yet...
Manu
thank you for pointing this to me! i think you are right about the age. it didn't look like this summer's eagle and maybe it wasn't last year's eagle either. it was probably at least 2 years old, maybe 3. it had still a very dark beak (young) but a lot of light grey feathers in the plumage (older).
let's see what Urmas or Renno can say about this.
