Yesterday the first of our eaglets left the nest. Today, at 14:12, the other eaglet flew the nest, too. Now we're waiting to see them back in the nest again. (Even the mighty eagle(t)s have to eat.)

Yes, that's great, indeed. I hope Illimar's first flight was successful too.
At about 1 pm today our eaglets were seen in the nest. Now they must be somewhere in the area. Image

15:30 - one of the eaglets was sleeping in the nest, then did some wing exercises on neighbouring branches

Updates July 29th

One parent’s visit at 10:10 with a fish, which was taken back.

Both parents visit at 21:10 : one with a white bird(I think), second with an eel (which seems common there). They left food. I haven’t seen the eaglet.

Updates August 4th

The Danish eaglet looked today tired and hungry. There was a prey in the nest, but he was not able to rip it in whole.

The eaglet called out parents. His behavior was showing that they were nearby.

One of the parents flew in soon, but the eaglet immediately flew away. The parent ate a leftovers of prey.

Hello :hi:

I moved the recent posts about the nest of Ozzy and Harriet in Florida to American Bald Eagles topic:
viewtopic.php?f=11&t=278&start=780

It is the already existing topic in "Other birds and animals"

Starting in the beginning of March, there will be a Dutch white tailed eagle cam online at http://www.volgdezeearend.nl

Right now you get redirected via that link to the site of Staatsbosbeheer, a Dutch governmental organization founded in 1899 to control and conserve Dutch nature reserves, where you can see video's of the 2007 season. But as said, from the beginning of March there will be live broadcasts from the nest.

I cannot open the Danish cam, and I cannot read Danish, so I cannot find the button to open the cam. The link you already posted, doesn't bring me directly to any cam view.

Amsel67, did you men the Ducth webcam which Kukelke wrote about in the above?
in that Dutch link the text says something like
'In March 2014 will a WTE webcamera begin working at a new website http://www.volgdezeearend.nl, broadcasting from a WTE nest in Roggebotzand. In the meanwhile you can watch here a video from the WTE nest in Oostvaardersplassen in 2007.'

the original text:
"In maart 2014 is de nieuwe website http://www.volgdezeearend.nl klaar en gaan de camera's aan bij een zeearendnest in het Roggebotzand. Tot dat moment kun je hier webcambeelden zien van een zeearendnest in de Oostvaardersplassen uit 2007."

in the beginning of that video the male did not jump off the female's back after mating soon enough and got a snap of the female's beak. it looked as if she shook her shoulders and said "don't begin to lay eggs there and get off!". "eaglesses" (lady eagles) are fiery lovers.
