Re: Grey Seal Webcam Forum 2011
here's the latest weather data:
it says that precipitation is 0 mm/h, but i don't trust that because it's always the same, even when we have seen that it's been raining cats & dogs all day. i guess it's missing data...
and the forecast:
there may be some sunshine tomorrow!

January 14th good morning!
the camera is still on its travels... this time it found a lot of seal pups. this postcard comes from Medny Island (also known as the Commander Island), East off the coast of Kamschatka in the Northern Pacific.
it's a bit loud as you'd expect of a crowded nursery.

how many of you can scratch the back of your head with your toes?

Cam also visited Laguna Beach, California, to go scuba diving with friends & see the seals do underwater ballet dancing. It was a wonderful sight. (I think these are sea lions, they have ear flaps.)

good morning
nice to just enjoy them swim under water.
I'm afraid we have no image to see today.

thank you for the swimming seals, Kitty!
it's nice that the camera has captured them underwater this time. it's quite a transformation from the clumsy creatures on land to underwater acrobats moving so effortlessly and gracefully in all three dimensions. they almost seemed to be performing to the divers.
- it's funny how i hadn't noticed that seals have tiny tails, too, before someone mentioned it in the forum this Autumn.
