@ Shanta, this answers to your question, too:
Urmas wrote:This egg is surprise also for us, though if to compare to domestic hen, then there is no need for cock to get eggs for omelet.
Think, in general the first meeting of pair happens in nest, but in case female could visit some neighboring single male probably. There is no direct data, but in few cases in nests fitted with photo trap, there appear the single females for some hours in a day or two and then no more. Don't know, if then is the case similar or some other?
Interesting anyway!

If I remember correct standing on one foot (or leg) is quite comfortable to a stork. I wonder if there are left leg or right leg ones...? As in humans , I mean right handed or left handed? :puzzled:

Good evening together all storkfreaks

please, may I ask the question to Mutikluti: How could you get the Pic of the egg in the frontal perspective viewtopic.php?p=308803#p308803 ? Is there a second kamera?

I keep my fingers crossed for Tiit and Tiina :2thumbsup:

I don't see 2 eggs... Tiina usually lays eggs 2 days apart, so I think there is still time before she might lay another
