On the 19th June the scar could be seen very well:
the wound was covered by dry blood, the injury was not that big...but there was a time when cheek was rather swollen, and I was so afraid!! :slap:

1st July Spotted mom has no spots anymore, and her injury has recovered.
To change the fur took about seven week.

it says the wood mouse is mostly nocturnal so I guess you were lucky to see it.

Even thought the mouse was much smaller, it helps to show the pups are not so very big.

Yes, we know that there is some Wood mice living under the path stones. This was a rare view!
I have been keeping the feeder clean, and I change the water several times a day.
Now there is a new plastic cover on the feeder floor. It's easy take off and wash!

6th July

...an adult female

... a pup and an adult 2

...an adult

Paula the Grand Mother - Is it really Paula for sure?? I can't be 100% sure.
She has to be quite old.. :slap: But she looks like her.

Today I noticed that one of the squirrels had a peculiar way to eat the nut. It used the paw like hand and the toes like fingers.
It looked as if it had been licking icecream!
