then followed the second fly-by of the intruder, accompanied by Sartas' calling from nearby. Makonite kept on whining for food.... Lubana looked worried into the forest and above in the sky. Sartas called once more, this time from a greater distance in the forest.

Lubana stayed on the left branch guarding the nest and kids till 6:35. the kids made wing exercises while they were waiting for breakfast. i haven't looked up more yet. this is waht already Liz saw in the Pontu pictures this morning.

i started processing now the rest of the morning's Pontu video and i noticed that Lubana and Sartas were calling there later, too, so the intruder must have returned at least once more.

i've got now the rest of this morning's Pontuclips ready. it seems that Lubana didn't stay by the nest side for fun. the intruder seemed to stay near and it made some more fly-by's. it can't be seen in the Pontu video but one can see its presence in the way in which Lubana behaves.
she is giving warning calls...
5:28 someone flies in the right upper corner... but it may be Sartas as well because here Lubana is not calling.

the next fly-by takes place at 5:37. i think this had to be Sartas because Lubana takes it quite calmly but it shows that the situation wasn't normal yet.

by 5:45 Makonite and Pukite had become inpatient and really wanted some food. Pukite had helped herself with some leftovers but M was becoming really frustrated.

at 5:58 an eagle flew between the nest and the camera. i think it had to be Sartas because Lubana didn't get upset.

still after 6 am Lubana saw something which she needed to warn about... but then she preened herself looking calm. both eaglets were first depressed-looking and quiet but then they both began to whine and scream to Lubana. both were hungry.

finally one of them (M?) took some old fish and nibbled on it a bit... but then it got a real tantrum, jumping around the nest, waving its wings and screaming angrily at mummy.

at 6:35 Lubana finally left her branch. eaglets took some more flying lessons.

Sartas brought some breakfast at 8:09. it seemed to be a nice big pike.

the eaglets had some real quarrel about who is going to get the fish. this time Pukite tried to get it for real for herself, but Makonite won the pulling. so she ate first.

8:36 Makonite was finished and Pukite took the rest of the fish to herself. there was still plenty left.

8:51 Pukite was finished eating and she took some flying lessons.

dispute and wrangling over the fish.
M eats first. I hope it remains something for P

I'm not sure if it was Lubana. :puzzled: The delivery was between 8:05:31 and 8:05:44

i have now some Pontu clips from yesterday and some more are being uploaded to the Tube. i'll not post all of them, but i'll make a playlist of them again and add the address to it in my last post yesterday evening.

12:27 Lubana brought a fish. that was the second food item after Sartas brought them the big pike at 8:09 after the intruder's visit in the early morning. it looks like Pukite took the fish and she found tapeworm in this fish again. yak!
Miss Makonite screamed at her Mom on the other side of the nest.
Pukite didn't eat much of this fish and then it remained on the left side of the nest for a few hours, till 3 pm.

from about 14:30 till about 14:56 i think there had to be some disturbance near the nest again. probably the strange eagle had returned and sat still in some nearby tree because Lubana gave warning calls and the eaglets stood still and almost quiet during that time. it was a stalemate situation: no-one moved, Lubana just gave her complaints about something at regular intervals. i can't see anything in the Pontu video, not even Lubana, but the warning calls sound like her voice.
here are the Pontu clips:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DNixyvwgjl8
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=769yLu3yzOk
in the end eaglets get bored and probably the intruder also leaves because Lubana stops calling.

in the late afternoon and in the evening there was nothing special as far as i could see. eaglets ate the fish and made a lot of wing exercises.
