A lot of traffic at your feeders, Olga. I have seen one of our squirrels today, balancing on a fence. But too far away for trying to take a photo, though it would be funny to show how they use their tail left and right to stay on top of the thin wire. :rotf:

Thank you Olga for your lovely videos and pictures of squirrels.
Thank you also for wonderful video of autumn on Squirrel Hill.
I'm very happy that I can to see so many squirrels at your feeders.
It's nice when new squirrels find this little paradise in your garden. ♥♥♥
It's interesting that squirrels have various shades of grey, red and brown fur. Each of them is different.
I also saw Great Tits, Blue Tits and Coal Tit on your videos.
Your home made fat balls must be very tasty. :D

Thanks for interest, Margossa. It's very interesting how different color the fur can be, and tassels too are different!

Also a couple of wood peckers can be seen, one mag pie and tree sparrows on the kitchen side.

Today I saw two squirrels, they were Mr Spock and Castano.

But I had no possibility to use camera at the moment. I have been mostly driving around Kirkkonummi.

Having returned at home today I saw the Wood pecker:

Squirrels of today:

I just wonder how this squirrels resembles Mr Mops!.. the face.. :slap:
The certain trait there on the cheek close to the nose. Like a 'smile'. She looks like Mrs Mops! It is true that these two resembled each other and I have called Mr Mops as Mrs Mops and other way round.
The fur color is special red, dark red. Mother and her offspring?

Image

This one resembles Mr Phantom, but I think that it is not him.
Image

This I think is Oscar..
Image

and he is Mr Spock
Image

She has to be one of of the pups of last spring or summer..

It may be Mrs Mops! She used to be a very beautiful female, now she looks sweet of course. She has some scar on the back.

Mrs Mops used to 'steal' nuts in her mouth and then hurry to hide them in the garden..Now we have seen her taking the whole fat ball a couple of times..

macdoum, it's her:

A picture from the 9th November 2009:

Image

I have read that some of red squirrels may live 6-7 years.

Image

24rt October 2009:
viewtopic.php?p=49897#p49897

She was called Long ear. Next year I begun to name her as Silk ear:
September 2011:
Image
That photo is from the time when this pup appeared at the feeder in September. I was sure that Silk ear was her offspring:

Image

She used have some other name too.. But I am just sure that this one is the squirrel on my avatar: it's Paula.

At last Silk ear got the name Paula. She had an injury on her paw, and one day I just happened to say, there she is, the one with the Paw.. Pawla! And this is how she got the name. It's Paula!
