to me it sounded like Durbe began a bit further from the nest. then Robert continued. he was closer than Durbe. altogether this song was shorter than the earlier two songs.

no Durberts' calls at all in all morning? he is out fishing? :whistling:

btw: now after Liz mentioned the creek i understand the sounds of water: the creek is active again after so much rain recently.

Ame, thanks for the videos :2thumbsup:
I must wait until I'm at home. I like to listen it again.
It may be that both have called. I have bad conditions here. There are very loud machine noises

7:24 some crows came to the nest and one landed on it. it ate a fish scale or two and then began to make a lot of noise with other crows... and took off. then one of the parents flew to the top of the nest tree. i just can't see in the pictures that i took frame by frame which one it was.. :puzzled:

this is perhaps the best picture i got from the video but it is not clear. :puzzled:

the mixed flock of little birds: chiffchaffs, great and blue tits and at least on male chaffinch (in the first or the second clip).

who is calling near the nest?? the tits go on searching the nest but i don't think this is a tit's voice. a jay with sore throat? :puzzled:

That is a nice description of a Nutcracker.

At 8:19 there also was a Treecreeper and at 8:08 a possible Redstart

These include sparrows, great tits and many other small birds.
I never thought that they are doing it :whistling:

i'll see if i can find the treecreeper and the redstart.

here's the common redstart at 8:08. it's one of the tail-shakers. :whistling:
