Re: Latvian Black Storks - 2016
Good morning!
It was long conversation about GT. Just small remark. To avoid all this, better to remember that we are watching here Latvian Black Storks not forum. If there is something really interesting what we should know, hope our Latvian member(s) would tell us.

I agree with Juta, leave the information from Latvian thread to come from the Latvian members, they surely notice it if something is worth sharing on LK. And as Baska also adviced Liz: ask help from the Latvian members before using only GT, because Latvian (as well as Estonian and for example Finnish) is very different language from English - the translation can be pure gibberish from those ones to English. And even worse if you first translate from Latvian to German and then from German to English.baska wrote:...
What shall she do, what shall we do ? If we don't know the language we got to use GT !
Me, I use it (for myself) permanently for languages like Latvian, Estonian, Lithuanian, Hungarian and Polish.
Or do you know a better solution ???
...
I use GT myself, too, when translating from Danish to English - the two languages have a lot common grammar and GT does it quite well. But I also always check if the English translation is understandable before I publish it. I also use quotation marks or quote boxes when I quote someone else's comment to mark that the text is not my own.
