Yes, I hated zoo. But if we can wisely help this creatures? Because we had so massive invasion in their live already, that maybe a little help would be not bad?

Liz01 wrote:Khajah :hi: that is impossible. it would endanger the eaglets in the tree. they can not fly. if someone climbs up the tree, it would be a disaster.
The eaglet on the ground is well. I'm sure. Soon he can fly
Yes, at the age of ringing they usually will not leave the nest when disturbed and are easy to keep in check. That is an important reason to ring them at that age. As big a possible but not big enough to cause troubles. Their wings are of no use for flying. If one would fall to the ground it will not come far and can be picked up en put in the nest again and it will stay there.
Now it is different because they are almost(!) able to fly and on the brink of leaving the 'nest'. When they go now they will be hard to get and there is no nest to put them back in and be sure they will stay there.

The fish on the ground are very alluring. The eaglet from the left jumped to a lower branch at 14.22. It keeps watching down, they both watch eagerly downwards.

14.24 a parent arrives with a new fish.

14.26 the parent flies away, squealing stops.

14.38 a parent is attempting to land on a branch with a fish, does not find space (an eaglet on the same branch), flies away to the forest with the fish. I wonder whether they now try to attract the eaglets to follow them. It kind of works as the eaglet on the same branch starts squealing and waves his wings, looking ready to fly (but not leaving the branch).

Nord gave us a little heart attack. The cam jammed for a sec and when the picture came back, nobody were on the left and Taibu looking down. Thankfully Nord is still there just very low. I don't know is there a fallen fish visible, or why he is hanging on the edge and both looking down.

Poor guys, they are really hungry!

I think there is definitely something there, as Nord went to the lower part of the lowest visible branch. He jumped back after being there. I wonder whether the first flight will be to the ground to enjoy the fish collection.

14.56 more frustrated squaeling and wing movements. (Sorry for reading intentions to their actions, but it really looks like he wants to jump to the ground but is still too shy to do it.)

Since she has no "table", it's better to bring headless fish.

When she brings them alive, they are moving and falling down.

Maybe Rahu is under the nest tree eating all those fishes... and is not even thinking of squeeing... why would he! :puzzled:

I wish we could tilt the camera down :puzzled:

Or left. Ar 15.12 onwards there is something - probably a parent with fish - to the left of them. Keen staring + begging sound. Again the left direction... Hmmm...

If I were Rahu, I think I wouldn't like sitting right under the tree, with all those raccoon dogs, jackals (or who knows even Tasmanian Tigers? ) screaming like monsters! They sound horrible!
But probably that sound doesn't really impress our eagles?
They're not so weak hearted, after all.
