Anne7 let me know that i had counted the age of Taibu wrong again. why can't i do it right? there is something fundamentally too difficult in this kind of problem for my brains.
she hatched on 19th so that was day 0.
20 = 1, 21 = 2, ..., 30 = 11. that's April.
then may = 31, June 30. today is 3rd of July.
11 + 31 + 30 +3 = 75 days. that's how old Taibu is today.
... and i'm a maths & physics teacher. :rotf:
Maths and physics.
But ame, arithmetic is so different. Console yourself!

Today Taibu is the same age as Nord when he did his first flight..
Anna brought a big fish - it looked so good - but as usual - the fish went down to the wild boars, badgers or who likes fish..

My husband is math teacher.

Very sympathically from her to admit that. :2thumbsup:

Visitors wrote: April is simpler to just count 30 - 19 = 11 days
(= days in April minus the hatching day)
One more simple method to calculate Taibu's age is to count weeks.
Hatched day was tuesday 19.apr.
Next week tuesday on 26.apr.is 1 week=7 day's
Every tuesday adds 7 day's.
Last tuesday was 28.june.This was exactly 10 week plus wednesday,thursday,friday saturday and today=10weeks(70 days)+5 days = 75 days :D
And now,the most important-75- jubilee, isn't it ? :whistling: :D

Ame and others:
There is an easy way to count number of days between to dates without loading too much of your brains. :puzzled:
Pls. search date counter or date calculator from Internet and you can find a plenty of them. Here is one alternative: http://www.calculator.net/date-calculator.html

Anna is teaching Taibu: "If you don't grow up, then: few bites, just a taste - of everything you will be missing. ;)"

to sum it up, here is an eaglet with adult's head.

Pirjo & Bosse, Nord was 76 days old when he fledged.
Taibu is today 75 days old. :D
(Meanwhile, I start feeling like the date correcting police officer on duty ... Sorry!)

I ment Ame, when she laughed herself to count the days wrong and admitted after that she is a math teacher.

But without a joke, there are just those times and days, that brains jams and can't wrap around things which normally would be easy to you.

Anna is such a clever mom! Some food now for the kids! She surely won't let them die! She's teaching them, teasing them, forcing them to grow up, but she knows exactly what she's doing! When it becomes a little too hard for them, she's ready to feed them once more! My respect!

Edit: The kids still have to learn so much more! Hunting, catching fishes, defending themselves. Next winter they'll be on their own. And the first winter, when it will be snowing and freezing, is the most dangerous and difficult time in an eaglet's life. The better they are prepared, the more chances they'll have to survive.

15:04 a nice fish from Anna for Taibu.
Image

Taibu got a few bites from Anna, but then she just had to grab the fish so that Anna's hold on it slipped and the fish fell down. :slap:
