I agree. I also did not see Rahu’s ring clearly, so it could have been Nord. But Nord has not behaved like Rahu, so it was very likely Rahu.
Anyway, it was absolutely Taibu who fell.

In Finnish (and Estonian, too) are no feminine, masculine or neuter words at all and no articles at all, no genders. This is impossible grammaticaly. Taibu cannot be Taiba. Our languages are Finno-Ugric languages and they are very, very different from other languages.

All these months since I watch the nest I get used to learn lots of new things about WTE, but I had no idea that I'll find out something about the languages that I don't know Thank you for that interesting information

Yes, but I think I heard Taibu’s voice calling about 13 minutes after she fell. Not sure, unfortunately.

There is a little problem as the wind hits the microphone so that it sounds like an almost continuous thunderstorm.
I have not heard any eaglet’s voice clearly over the wind for a while. The only sure thing about their places is, that no one is in the nest tree close to the nest level.

In the film you posted you can see clearly that at least two floors of branches cushioned her fall. And in the end we can hear that she is annoyed and suprised. So I think everything is OK

i'm downloading the Pontu videos at the moment. let's see if i can find out who fell.... i'm not sure. the light was very bad at that time.

so far i'm not any wiser than any one of you. i only saw the shorter clip (and on small screen). i think that the eaglet fell only a short distance. it complained right after the fall kokokokooo... that might have been Taibu's voice.
edit: i have listened to the voice again. the kokoko came from the left branch.

i clicked through the Pontu pictures back to the time when the fishtail was still there. to me it seems that the fallen angel is the one who stayed on the branch all the time since that. the other came down and went to the left (and back sometimes) to the place were Taibu has like to sit.

btw: if one of them fell then where is the other?

i just heard a rustle of twigs from below. it had to be rather near because i heard the sound over the wind.
