99.Second successful White-tailed Eagle breeding season in the city of Schleswig. Germany, September 2016
The eagle pair which settled near Gottorf Castle in 2014 raised again two young (a third one died). The nest in a poplar tree collapsed during a storm about ten days before the siblings took their first flight.

100.Young eagle visits deer farm near Ullerslev, Funen. Denmark, September 2016
According to the article, a fawn was born on this day, and the deer appeared more nervous than usual.
The eagle sat about 15-30 minutes in a tree before he left the area. Funen is the country´s third-largest island.

The injured youngster was in a very poor condition when it was found at the end of July. He was incredibly lucky to have survived.

According to the article, all White-tailed Eagle territories between the cities of Wittenberg and Schönebeck are occupied now by nine breeding pairs. Six pairs raised a total of seven young birds.

According to the article, the platform has the potential to lure the eagles away from the weak poplar tree in which they had built their nest. This eyrie collapsed in two consecutive years.

111.Another Danish eagle poisoned. September 2016
Tests established that the bird found dead near the city of Roskilde (North Zealand) earlier this month was poisoned by carbofuran. The pesticide is banned in the EU since 2008. According to Dansk Ornitologisk Forenings (DOF), it was the seventh poisoned Danish White-tailed Eagle within a few years, but it was the first time that a WtE was poisoned in this area.

For the first time a White-tailed Eagle from the northern part of the country settled in the Upper Palatinate, east Bavaria. According to the article, female AE31 was ringed in June 2016 near the city of Prenzlau, Brandenburg (north-south distance 550 kilometres).
