Hi! :hi:

This nest cam has a very good sighting but eagles somehow ignore it this year.. till now.

It seems that Urmas should have put some food-present in the nest to attract them...

13:39 an eagle called! (i think it was here and not in Latvia... yes it was here  )
the cars were quiet for a while but now their engines are roaring again so loud that the noise drops snow from the tree. (not! only joking)

about 8:39 onward crows are making a terrible racket. it's as if they saw a predator there (an eagle?) but i can't see anyone, not even a crow. :slap:

8:42:40 someone flew by in the distance, just tiny black spots. :puzzled:
i think that there was only one bird. the many spots were "after-images". it's impossible to say what bird it was.

No race course. The same which is going on every time in winter when the bay(s) are freezing there. It has been cold for quite a while by now and the waters around Haapsalu and the bay is thick enough now.
There are races on the ice - the Österby race http://www.krracing.ee/index.php?option ... 11-osterby
and also the ice road between Haapsalu and Noarootsi has been opened again: http://www.krracing.ee/index.php?option ... 11-osterby

Linke Linda and Sulev's nest, this nest is facing the water and catches the noises from there.

Urmas has mailed us:
Couple of days ago got information from Estonian Ringing Center that WtE
E094 was observed in Lithuania. Contacted to Boris Belchev who made that
observation and he promised to send also some photos about (during a week).
...
that was our Illimar! :loveshower:
Image
not a very good picture. :slap:
Bea made a better picture a few posts lower:
viewtopic.php?p=243952#p243952

edit: i found a nice Pontu picture where Illimar poses with his new rings in the early morning of June 2 2013. :D

Wow, Illimar flew rather far from his home  I keep wondering if Nord, Rahu and Taibu survived this winter and I hope we will see them again one day
