Liz :hi:
Could it be there's a problem with your last 2 videos? :puzzled:
I can't watch them...

I also cannot open the last videos by Liz.
Also, Liz, from the headlines it seems that maybe you have the same video for two different episodes? :puzzled:

Hello
here some pictures of the Tramp and his new girl friend, I took at work from their visit at 17:20.

17:21 Beautiful Tramp in the front.

17:27 Now the female in the foreground.

17:28 View to Black Lace’ back with some of the white spots she has in the neck.

I’m glad that Tramp again has nice company. But I feel sorry for him, that with this young female he couldn’t found a family. It’s a pity, that the big Lady has left him. Maybe one of Ladys reasons was that she liked Vents more than Tramp? After all she had courted Vents very much.

Thanks a lot to all for your reports, pictures and videos! :2thumbsup: It’s a lot of work with the intensely coming and going here at this nest.

Michi, thanks for your pics!

Lace has a very special head for a female eagle, long, sharp and kind of skinny.
In combination with those clear eyes... special girl! 8-)

Yes, a pity that Lady left Tramp.
The Girl left Vents, Vents left Lady, Lady left Tramp... I won't be surprised if Tramp leaves Lace...
The good news is that there's quickly someone new to come...

Yes, hopefully :D . In the last weeks I saw much more of the real eagle life then I did before. Breeding and raising up eaglets is only one part of eagles life. Till now I've seen only perfect to each other fitting couples of adult eagles who want the same things: Building a nest, found a family and care for each other. Here it is completely different. Because of different ages and sympathy or even not, many eagles are searching for the right place for them, - partly only for the moment (for the younger ones). It's interesting to see how teenager, almost adults and real adults act with each other. A new side of eagles life (at least for me).

De facto to me it looks like if sympathy is the most important reason for a WTE-Couple to come together. Vents liked Silute, not the Lady, - he left her. The Lady liked Vents, not Tramp, - she left him. O.k., this is not representative . But there is no reason in sight which can explain the disappearance of Vents and the Lady. I would never have thought that eagles are so choosey in finding their mates. This makes them even more likeable.
I'm excited how it goes on here the next weeks. For Tramp I wish he can find his female.

7:29 they came down to the nest and made some "nest work". i write this in quotes because they are very inefficient in this job. they actually don't do any proper work, just dig the bottom a little and walk slowly around each other. they also kissed a little.
after this the Girl went to the branch again.

7:37 they flew out, Tramp first and the girl after him. then Tramp called in the forest very near. it didn't sound like a mating, but any way he is singing to the Girl.

Good Morning !

At 07:12-13 we heard about 3 calls, not very far from nest.

The couple was on the branches and looked around; perhaps saw eagle/s?

This is the direction...

11:20 the girl arrived and male followed. Male was calling already before they showed up.
He left from a branch 11:23. She jumped to the branch to replace him.

11:34 someone called, but I don´t know who :puzzled: Sounds like a male... Did he returned?
I have no time to watch continuously...

EDIT: Ah yes, he did return 11:34! Landed on the tree top.
So the girl is perching on branch and the male on the tree top.

12:08/09 the girl came to the nest and the male dropped also down. He tried to mate, but had so success.

A few minutes later the girl returned to her branch and pooped. Her boyfriend is sitting on the nest rim, neglected.

12:15 a bunch of jays flew by.

But now she is plucking his breast feathers very gently.
