I also thought it was Irma, but this osprey made a few circles around the nest, far enough away, without coming on the nest. Lady was very worried, she chased this Osprey and came back on the branch of the dead tree. The intruder attacked Lady and left without returning ...

I believe that Irma would occupy the nest directly.

The woods are lovely, dark, and deep,
But I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep,
And miles to go before I sleep.

Maybe not, if she just has been returned from her long flight. Then she must recover first before she really fights.

I did not watch the season when Irma had an opponent ... Did their fight for the nest last long?

I believe, in 2015 was there a short fight against "the dark beauty."
But it was not heavy, the other female left quick the area.

Second time Lady comes on the nest very nervous and Ivo follows she, but not for a mating, Lady waves very strong the wings and they both look the same direction ...

What if Irma is not far away ???

When I saw Sappheira´s enlarged pictures I was already in doubt ... but now that I checked the video patch I am almost sure that this was no Osprey at all.
Plumage, shape of wings of the bird look different and especially behaviour of 718 show that she didn´t take this bird as a threat and didn´t even take it quite serious ... it came from the woods behind at 13:26, flew a first "attack" and then landed in the high pine tree close to the dead tree. There it stayed sitting until 13:29, when it flew another "attack" to 718.

The whole time 718 stayed calm, no hysteric yelling, no fluttering with wings, what she would have surely done if it would have been another osprey attacking her. There would have been much more hullaballoo. She even showed the bird in the pine her back.

I think it was a Buzzard.

If Irma returns, I hope it will happen soon. Wouldn't want to see any serious fights or when already eggs in nest.
In previous seasons Irma has first seen on the nest: 29.04.2013, 24.04.2014, 24.04.2015, 18.04.2016

17:20 - Latvian Lady flies between nest and dead tree, calling.

19:26 Fishtail for the Lady.

She finished it but I guess she wasn't too pleased with the size. Keeps complaining while Ivo sits on dead tree.
