Re: Birds Birds Birds
Wow, Jujani, great pics! beautiful and also rarely species. I love the red kite, on our bycicle trips I'm so happy, when I can see them in the sky.

beautiful pictures Birdfriend. I like these birds too, they glide through the air. In our region there are many, only in the Eifel are more.

Oh, what nice pictures!
I don't know some of your photographed birds, Jujani. Some of them didn't visit me until now...
Birdfriend, I always wonder how people manage to take a photo of a flying bird. When I would be ready to click the bird will already be away...

Birds that are always here at my feedyard are great tits, blue tits, dunnocks and chaffinches.
Birds that are often here are blackbirds, robins and (this year) nuthatches.
Rare visitors are greenfinches and bullfinches.
Some more pics from last year and this year:

Mogga nice pictures:thumbs: The Dunnock look very similar to sparrows.
I did not know it before
At the moment we have a lot of house red tails, Linnets and of course blackbirds, thrushes and crows.
This Bird is in the mauser
Cranes in the spring, maybe coming back on the way back.
I want to give more food this winter. So far, I have always fed a mixture. We have a big bird house. I will divide the floor so that the food is not mixed. Hopefully more birds will come this winter. In the summer I can not feed, our old kater is so gladly on the balcony. It is slow and has few teeth, but the birds do not know that. But we also live very much in nature, I hope they get enough in the summer.

mogga and Jujani!
Great close ups from your hidden camera. And nice pics, Jujani. Thank you also for your mention about bird feeding.
Yesterday, I saw this documentation: https://www.zdf.de/dokumentation/planet ... d-100.html
Edit: The pics from red kite are not from me, I only wanted to show, how beautiful they are. Most likely these pics are made from an wildlife film-maker.

The cranes in the sky with their formation: again and again a wonderful view.
When I began feeding birds the dunnocks were one of the first birds that came every day, Jujani.
At that time I almost didn't know a single bird by name. For some weeks I thought that it were sparrows...
Thanks for the link, Birdfriend. What we need is a rethinking concerning many aspects. There is a lot of work in the near future...

At the moment I do not see any more here in the region. Surely they are on their way to southern Europe.

I'd like to show you the nuthatch in my birdhouse.
I am glad two nuthatches are coming every day this year. I like them, they are lively and a little 'cheeky'.
In the end there is a slow-motion sequence.

That is a very good video.
The nuthatches are very pretty birds. I sometimes see some when they go up on the tree, but they never come to the feeding house.

My husband is feeding squirrels in the forest. Recently a jay comes and eats peanuts with peel. Now he comes every day. Can the peels harm him?

He probably does the same with the peanuts and I doubt that they will harm the jay.

thank you Bea, my husband is on the road, it will be happy.
yesterday he made a video, I could not transfer it properly
Images from the video:
It's too big
Only the small one
Then the great
And now off with it
Today there were two jays and the squirrel in the tree, he did not have a camera...
He was very happy, he is 85 years, the animals motivate him to go every day.

that is nice.. in younger years perhaps outdoors with children and then with grandchildren but the grow fast... and their interests changes faster; then this is the best motivation.
Thanks UteL. (and thanks to your husband too - greetings)
