Good morning Liz and all :hi:

EEDI: I found info from Urmas (10. nov. 2015) "Eedis data we can receive after every five days" probably this is the reason
KARL: I am also (very) worried, but ... male BS Zoltán/Zoli from Hungary was previous year (2016) without new data from Oct. 22 to Febr. 14, and this year the last data had on Oct. 18 from the same area as well as 2016

Solo, thanks for the comparison Karl and Zoli  . I think/believe it is the reason.

Solo, thank you for that GSM link. It is reassuring to know the reason for Karl's silence.

:hi: Solo and all

Still nothing news. Neither by Karl nor by Eedi
I can not help myself. Karl has to be already at his wintering place.
We had lots of data last year. The GSM coverage was OK! It will not be any different this year.
Either he has lost his transmitter, or something else has happened.

this situation is for all bird - the last actualization was 26.10.2017 (yesterday)

maybe he has another wintering place (without GSM coverage), it is not typical, but change is plausible (see Mare and I know also another storks) ... and the political situation is not good in Kadugli area, muche danger (also malnutrition/hunger)
we must wait patiently for news - area with GSM coverage (to springtime  , arrival on nest :puzzled: )

Good Morning, Solo and all :hi:

The birdmap doesn't work. Maybe the map doesn't work properly at all ? :puzzled: Then we have not to be worried about Karl and the other birds.

Ohjeeee, Solo... there she goes , my hope!
My other hope is, that the transmitter from Karl is broken. It seems to me possible.
The Transmitter of our other storks have continued to work, after they are dead. Only Raivos transmitter stopped by the electric shock.
What do you think about that?

I remember not, whot kind of transmitter, batery, string, etc. Karl has. It is enough muche explanation why send not one bird/transmitter data.
I understand that you want to know the explanation, but everything is just speculation, we have to wait for new data or for the expert opinion.
