Pictures from Wednesday, 21. February...
16:30 Great afternoon in Käsmu. The trees behind the old boat were gentle illuminated by the rays of the sun.
16:34 The sea in the bay was almost completely disappeared under layer of ice floe.
16:45 A beautiful sunset.

The weather forecast says that it is getting much colder - the anticyclone coming from the Arctic so the ice is thickening by hours

Yes, and the ice has now seriously arrived. Today the new ice map was published and I cut out also the colours for the thickness of the ice cover
[Ice map by http://www.bsh.de/]
I have also marked the area of the merikotkas nest, there the Haapsalu-Noarootsi ice road has opened a few days ago, and also Matsalu bay. The whole sea area there (Väinameri) is very shallow and the ferries to the islands have to be careful to keep to their waterways.
It's nice to see real winter in Estonia after so many years of hardly any snow and no ice. Hope this also helps nature.

Again sparkling snow in the sunlight .... looks like beautiful winter
There are some darker spots on the surface of the ice in the bay ... maybe ice is not thick enough and water is coming through on these spots?
I havent´t seen the dogs, Puna and Roosa, for a long time now
Estonia is celebrating its 100th Independence Day today - Happy Birthday, Estonia ♥
