Of course the second picture is funny and very cute. But I also like the first one very much.
Look at Black Eyes facial expression. Doesn't she look like a shy young girl? And the way, YE looked at her ... so intensely.
That's one of the reasons I love these species. They are so attentive to each other, one could think, thoughtful.

This is such a beautiful view in my eyes. The snow covered nest in sun light. This was at 15:45.


At 16:18 I saw Black Eye. She hasn't any problem with the deep snow in the nest ...

I saw also Yellow Eye coming, but of all things then I had problems with the internet connection.
So I missed the mating.

guest thanks for the video of the two 'doves'! I only saw part of their visit at the nest this afternoon. BE is so very cute, you just have to look at her (never thought I would say that of a bird...).

Let's hope they will succeed in having some offspring. I think the mating wasn't succesful this time.
