Of course the second picture is funny and very cute. But I also like the first one very much.
Look at Black Eyes facial expression. Doesn't she look like a shy young girl? And the way, YE looked at her ... so intensely.
That's one of the reasons I love these species. They are so attentive to each other, one could think, thoughtful.

Thank you all for todays marvellous pictures and videos! It is great that we now have clearness about the who is who. :D

Some pictures, I have taken in the afternoon.

This is such a beautiful view in my eyes. The snow covered nest in sun light. This was at 15:45.
Image

At 16:18 I saw Black Eye. She hasn't any problem with the deep snow in the nest ...
Image

... is simply sitting down in the middle of it. :D 16:27
Image

I saw also Yellow Eye coming, but of all things then I had problems with the internet connection. :slap:
So I missed the mating.

Only 19 minutes later, 16:46. The darkness comes quick.
Image

17:32 I'm impressed by the deepness of the nest bowl. Few days ago, without snow, it looked quite different.

It seems right eye of YE is a little narrow... maybe after some injury...

Thanks Michi, the picture of the nest is really stunning!

guest :hi: thanks for the video of the two 'doves'! I only saw part of their visit at the nest this afternoon. BE is so very cute, you just have to look at her (never thought I would say that of a bird...).

Let's hope they will succeed in having some offspring. I think the mating wasn't succesful this time.
