Birdfriend :hi:

Sky is just on time.

He is 77 days old. They fledge at about 11 weeks.

Now we'll see if Spirit will be faster; he is 75 days old.

Problems are not always in the cams.
Their system of showing the eagles is very special, as if they keep some of the events for their educational program or for other reasons.

When there was only one cam (2) for long time, they zoomed it on a corner and we were able to see one eaglet or even only half of an eaglet, and not the nest with both. When we watch, we feel that most of the time there is no events on the nest, which is not so.
Even on Friday, when both cams were working, things weren't better. During last night each cam showed one eaglet.
I hope that as long as they are still on nest, we'll be able to enjoy watching them better.

The other nest in Florida is managed differently and we are able to see all the main events, even if we don't change a cam during day&night.
They are not leaving it zoomed on a corner for long hours. Most of the day and at night, we can always see the whole nest.

March 11th
Last night this pesky owl knocked both eaglets off their perch; Sky at 1:37 and Spirit at 6:35. Fortunately eaglets can fly very well already and they returned to the nest in the morning. Both are fine!

Barred Owl again bothered eagles. Knocked Romeo off his perch, and brushed Juliet.

Sky and Spirit are doing great. They probably cannot hunt yet, but they have learned to compete for food (in the nest, when parents bring a prey  ).
Siblings flying skills are constantly improving. Their eyes are slowly becoming more yellow.
