Milda is very sweet - she seems to be wondering: to sit on it or not? and it keeps wriggling out - surprising her...

This is probably right, ame. I had the same impression at 19:47.

Until now Milda didn't show us more.

...
i have internet and i'm still working with the old computer. i cold-bloodedly did not turn it of after the back-up although the pc told me so.
the back-up didn't end successfully. it said that copying one file was not successful. i'm guessing whether it was autoexec.bat or command.com.

i have no time to go to buy a new computer right now. i'll see how long this will survive. i'm not sure if it is possible to turn it on if i shut it down. i'm living in interesting times...

20:20 onward Milda was up looking at the eggs... to me it seemed that at least point onward the shell had cracked into two pieces and the chick was waving it limbs in the middle of them.
https://youtu.be/IH4DVMcycYk

whether the technical hatching time was this or the earlier time 19:46 when the limbs were out of the shell... well that requires a more precise definition of hatching.
we don't have that, i think.
this is a close-up of the chick on the shell fragments.

Raimis was all this time sitting on the left branch with his back turned to the nest, but he seemed to 'know' what was going on. anyway his back seemed to say "yes, i know... 8-) "
Milda covered the nest and
20:23 Raimis flew flew out.

21:31 the shell halves seem still to be clinging to each other. this is a tough case.

21:31 the egg shell seemed to be broken all around but something kept the parts still together.

about 21:47 there were two clearly separate parts of egg shell but the baby had the smaller part as a helmet on its head.

APRIL 30th

00:26 This one is talking during the night like his Mom (I mean the one who doesn't understand yet that she's a mom  )

You can make as much noise as you want, even louder than the swans! We were waiting for you so long on this nest, so we accept you as you are

00:38 The shining Sword is watching them tonight  Picture is so surrealistic, like a painting, she is visible very well.

Good Night :chick:
