At the empty net of kalakotkas1 camera there were several ospreys visiting it. Maybe youngsters looking for a next season flat?

Irma comes on the stand for the camera. Ivo gets up to leave the nest.
See how his feathers on his chest swelled, they are usually smooth. That's how warm a pillow he has for eggs.

Maria&Xavier, I dont know.
Irma does that too. But she breaks the big twigs into small pieces and spreads them around herself. And Ivo, he always puts them on his back.
There seems to be little camouflage.. Too small detail.

Shift change - Ivo was on the eggs when Irma arrived with a stick ..... he decided to better fly off quick when Irma began to search for the right place for this new furniture

Thank you so much Bea for the link. During the day I switch to all the interesting nests to be informed what's going on.Bea wrote: ↑May 18th, 2018, 2:27 pm Hint for those of you who are also interested in other species than ospreys ... the first Estonian Black Storklet is about to hatch ....

Thank you Bea! How it is known the chicks are about to hatch? Because of the number of days since they were laid?Bea wrote: ↑May 18th, 2018, 2:27 pm Hint for those of you who are also interested in other species than ospreys ... the first Estonian Black Storklet is about to hatch ....
