Good evening :hi:

Lubaska ... I would interpret it that way; * Away from the fish, I have to raise a child *
We have watched this very often. Sulev even tried to feed Suvi, she did not want it.

22:25 Since about 20:00 Suvi is standing on the same place and holding the smaller fish in her claws, the eaglet is sleeping, the huge fish is now it's pillow

22:27 Surprise, Suvi started feeding

22:38 A poop shot towards the camera :slap: , didn't hit this time

22:50 Eating and feeding is over, they both are full
There are thousands of mosquitoes flying around them tonight

Thanks to everyone for the pictures and observations.

At the moment there are huge amounts of different kinds of insects in and around the nest. Late in the evening there is sometimes a nice show, as many white or cream-coloured nocturnal moths are flying near the nest for some minutes, disappearing and emerging again.

Btw. The weather forecast looks a little bit better. There can be some light rain early in the morning tomorrow and also on Tuesday.

After I have not had much time to watch the eagles I have been very lucky this morning.
First, the chick was alone in the nest but I heard at least one parent not too far away. Then the camera was shaken a few times and the little one seemed pretty nervous...

:hi: Ivory81, the same happened the night before at the same time: the trunk was shaken and the eaglet got a bit alarmed.
I wonder what it was. Here's my screenshot of the situation (31.5.)

Good morning! :hi:

5:00 Feeding by Sulev.

5:10 The eaglet can eat soft parts of fish itself ... and it tried own abilities more or less successfully with the second fish.
Image

It is a bit strange that Suvi was in the nest all the night and early in the morning, but she did not feed the little one. There were two fishes from yesterday in the nest. I did not see the change, but Suvi must have left about 4:55 and Sulev started to feed and eat himself right after having arrived.

About that rain... The rain area took a more northern route. According to the radar, it rained in Tallinn between about 3:00 and 4:00, but not in the nest area.

:hi: Konrad, good morning!

Suvi left at 4.58, the same minute Sulev arrived.

The feeding wasn't very successful, because Sulev ended up eating most of the smaller fish by himself while the eaglet was waiting to get something and got very little. Both parents have witnessed the eaglet's self-feeding rather often lately, so I guess they might be encouraging that line of action by abstaining from feeding as much as before - well, at least for the moment

What a beautiful morning it is, with a little bit of clouds...

The eaglet is getting impatient and calls parents from time to time. I think it's hungry
Image

7.18 There's a shadow of a parent on the left side - it must be Suvi's
Maybe she's been there for a while already, like Anna used to stay on the parents' branch - we just don't see her because the branch is out of view...

Hello. :hi:
Sooo, we must wait for eaglet ringing with camera adjustment and "video source bad signal" check. :slap:
Hope that ringing will take place soon.
Let's enjoy nice clear sky by then. ;)

:hi:
Suvi changed the cam angle the second time today, she sat on the camera about 13:31-13:35 and jumped to her favorite left branch out of cam view at 13.36, then the cam angle changed too little

This is Suvi's bad habit to sit on top of the camera

I hope that the ringing will take place soon :whistling:

 - a new view  :rotf:

Sulev flew to the nest at 17.28, he doesn't feed and the eaglet is complaining. Wind is strong :slap:

17.34 Sulev is gone fishing
