:hi: Solo,

Yes, but I can't read the page, I only know German  and the translator doesn't help either.

Little Otto is all right, that's all that matters. :loveshower:

(I know a little better deutsch and very little english. GT sometimes help, sometimes the translation is crazy  )

Hello Solo and sova,

I thought yesterday they probably turned off the camera. Possibly also to see if it is damaged.

Let's hope for a good new season 2018/19.
Then we'll meet here again. :gathering:

the origin. http://www.dunaipoly.hu/uploads/cache/d ... t1p5oo.png
(source: http://www.dunaipoly.hu/hu/hir/otto-utra-keszen)

the underlying information:
"Otto and his two siblings are currently the same size as their mother, and they are able leave the nest for a shorter time. Parents continue to carry them from Dinnyési-Fertő to delivering the mainstream of fish and waterbird. According to the experts of the Duna-Ipoly National Park Directorate, they can leave the parental nest and start their own lives within 1-2 weeks."

- hatched 10.03.2018
- saved 23.03.2018
- adopted 12.04. 2018

:loveshower: thank you very much Solo,

it just got a little damp in my eyes.

What a beautiful eagle he's become.
We also have to thank his foster parents. They did a great job.

Love solo
Thanks ... Thanks for all the information about Otto. :loveshower: You are really a gold treasure. Love you that you have sent * message * to me.
Probably we will not see him anymore if he * flies *. ... or maybe again if he stays in the area.
As this story ended, it shows very well that one should fight for every life being. If that also means that you * have * intervened in nature.
It was a good decision ....

Just hope that we can look back in the autumn in the fall. Maybe * mom * has a new partner ....

In any case .... Thanks Solo.
Solo, Bawet, Biker .... We'll see each other again.

:hi:
yes. And it was the right decision to act in that (risky) way, but otherwise Ottó would have been lost.
thanks a lot to all of you for reporting here

we can see him.

I read in the other thread about Otto. Still I was not able find all the information about him. He was somehow saved and put into another nest, right? Could someone please kindly give me a summary?

Edit: I managed now to roughly recall Otto's story. They just put him, after 'rehab' in the zoo, in a nest with two siblings? Was this risky or did they know that these stepparents would rear him and would have enough resources to do that? Amazing, anway. I am soooo happy for Otto.

Besides, I share Bawet's opinion, humans have severely intervened in nature, so they should intervene if there is some situation where humans can help, like take the chick out of the nest and thus save his life.

- hatched 10.03.2018
- saved 23.03.2018 (male eagle very probably died 15.-16.03.), female can't warming and hunting plus she was disturbed with another eagle/s - little one was in ZOO Budapest http://www.zoobudapest.com/rolunk/hirek ... t-sasfioka
- adopted 12.04. 2018 (that is always risky - more or less)
