The fourth chick in this nest was also thrown away and some woman took it but it is not known if it survived.

The fourth storklet in Sokolka followed its sibling. :puzzled: It was not small and normally developed, but the parent got rid of it(luckily not killed but just threw away!) The difference between the last year case in Karula is that it was also saved and joined the sibling. It is weak and has a few wounds however.

The comment under the cam streaming is absolutely weird:

======= 30.5.2018 mezi 16:03 - 23:59 - jedno čápě uhynulo a pravděpodobně bylo následně vyhozeno z hnízda. Přesný čas a příčinu úmrtí se zjistit nepodařilo.

======= 30.5.2018 between 16:03 - 23:59 - one stork died and was probably thrown out of the nest. The exact time and the cause of death is unknown.

On 30.5 all the four storklets stayed in the nest. The fourth one did not die but was thrown away in the evening of June 1 and it looks like somebody took it immediately( the parent looked down and then turned its head as if it followed some moving subject).

- Libštát - the situation https://youtu.be/2p8aTFmCujg - you are right, storklet was alive
- "the parent looked ...." you wrote this comment also on youtube to this video - they already do that
- now it is also only your wish "some body took it immediately" - no body was seen under nest (fall from such height on so hard ground/here maybe concrete is usually fatal)
- nest is on the chimney of our office, wrote DS logistic on their web page (http://www.dslogistic.cz/novinky/zase-p ... m-cap_184/)

The only fact is that the stork looks down and sees some moving subject there. It is not known who was that, a man or an animal, but somebody passed by under the nest when the stork had thrown the chick.

I will no longer comment that - we see it (now on the video) differently

POLAND migrating stork named Kajtek

"A THINKING END OF BABIANA'S STORY HISTORY!
For many months, we have been passionate about the history of our stork Kajtka, who we set up the transmitter in April 2017. Thanks to the device, we got to know the Kajtka feeding ground and the winter hike route in Africa. We were also preparing for his spring return.
The bird set out on the way back on February 1 and after 10 days it reached the Blue Nile valley in Sudan.
There, for unknown reasons, Kajtek stayed until April 26 this year, moving in different directions to 25 km during the day.
On that day we received the last signal.
And now the most interesting.
Yesterday - on May 7, we received a phone bill for the use of a card placed in the Kajtek transmitter for the amount of PLN 10,000.
Nothing less than someone took out the card from the transmitter, put it on the phone and called about 20 hours
Shock and disbelief/incredulity/distrust."

the owner of the phone in Sudán (from Poland)?
I think, they very probably do nothing in this situation (only ending the data sending - maybe it is possible :puzzled: ).
