Sulvi already knew it yesterday, that she'll fledge today.
She cleaned the camera lens yesterday on puprpose, so that we could watch her inaugural performance today. "Look, I'm flying". :chick:
I hope she'll be good, and maybe we could see her again in a few hours/days.

Here - a minute before she took off, Sulvi did a few "matter-of-fact"-wing rehearsals, took a careful look first to the front right (not pictured here; she actually stepped to the front and checked the surroundings from there), then to the right, then towards the spruces, and took off. Moments to cherish! 8-)

Hopefully Sulvi will still visit her nest tree many times before leaving for good. She has my complete trust in any case. She's a very special young eaglet, as we all know :2thumbsup:
:hi: Rebelde She is.

Yes, she had several of these moments in which she seemed to estimate distances (my own interpretation). I have the same series with the long neck, her head half turned to the other side. Thanks for posting Rebelde :2thumbsup:
I took 1 out of my map, look at the neck, it is so far stretched :-))

I was amused by the neck stretching, too. She looks like a goose. Very concentrated look and serious thinking going on. :rotf:
