13:36:38 Robis lost her nerve after listening to Janis rustling under the nest. she flew out.

she seemed to do it quite well!
let's see how well she'll land when/if she returns.

MĀRIS has apparently received a call from Janis.
by MĀRIS» 13 Jul 2018 13:52 (GT'ed)
"As soon as John called - he had already stayed in the vicinity of the nest for too long, but did not find Vilnius. Variants - how much imagination allows, but I lean more into the fact that the Wave is somewhere in the branches, on the foliage, just invisible to John. Now expect the parent to listen ."

i think this is good news. Vilnis has been able to hide himself somewhere so that he wasn't found. also no traces of him were found. i think that this means that for example a fox hasn't found and killed him. if a mammal kills and eats a bird there's always at least some broken feathers left on the ground. the bigger the bird the bigger are the feathers left behind. (as a former cat-co-resident i know this.

14:53 Raimis came home wit a fish.
his tail.

he looked around but didn't wait long. he started eating the fish from the head. the fish didn't like it: it kicked.
Bawet, did you hear eaglet's voices? i didn't..

a fox may kill a flightless WTE. both are beasts. beasts kill other animals.
i think that also a raccoon dog might kill a flightless WTE, at least an injured one.
i don't think that WTEs kill healthy foxes just like that either. they know that it would be a dangerous undertaking. a fox has tools to defend itself.
even mice try to defend themselves against beasts.
i'm rather certain that Vilnis didn't get injured in his fall. he sounded more astonished when he said "tsok-tsok-tsok" under the tree after his fall.
15:01 Raimis made a pause and seemed to listen. then he started to eat again.

already done, Maxie4Paws. No sign of Vilnis was found, in this case a good sign. :)Maxie4Paws wrote: July 13th, 2018, 3:12 pm I did not hear any of the kids when dad came with the fish. Ame,
The fallen baby of Anna&Uko.
If I remember well, it wasn't found on first day (almost sure it was also on a friday...).
Later we heard him but we never saw him on nest.
I'm looking for some signs
