 Good evening, friends,
There were two more undocumented deliveries this evening afterwards.

18:46
Irma brought her own fish (2nd this season, if I am not mistaken?)

Ivo again managed to deliver TWO fish at the same time! :2thumbsup:

The fish look a bit like yin and yang

.. and there is one more small event to report on.
The youngest really is the ultimate teenage daughter, as Juri said

At 20:36 Irma fed the chicks the 1st fish of Ivo's two. Then she made a small break and came back at 21:04. She started to look for the 2nd fish on the nest and apparently wanted to take it.
You can guess - did Choco easily let her?

Well, she did not. :D

The little boss!

To be more serious, this is definitely a completely natural and normal behaviour - aggression and ability to defend their nest/fish/territory are very important skills and young osprets must start practising them from early age.
Still, she is fierce :D

21:36
And the very last event.. the beautiful, vigorous oldest brother XJ made a jump few centimetres above the nest this evening!

16 July

 Good Morning Osprey Fans!

5:55 in the early morning in Tartu, the sun is shining and the nest is covered with down from the chicks! The oldest chick is already looking like a fledgling with it’s changing feather colors. :D The Osprets are getting prettier and prettier if that is even possible!! Even their voices are getting better with more personality/inflections!!

Good morning osprey fans :hi:

Despite some confusion about origin of some names, the vote for osprets´ names showed a clear result and the names for them are

Heli for XH

Jaak for XJ

Kaja for XK

Thank you all for your contributions here in the osprey topics and let´s hope that this until now happy season will continue .... next big challenge for our osprets is to learn to fly ...

Dear Bea, I strongly oppose your idea, that there was only ”some confusion about origin of some names”.

It is clear, that many of us voted for wrong names, because we did not know that, for example, Jukka is not an Estonian name.

Bea, I love the names for the chicks!
I don’t know if I can manage to identify all 3 of them, but it’s very nice that they have names now.

It’s going to be very warm on the nest this week.

To remember the names is good to look at the last letter and try to remember. :innocent:

Yes, second letter on the rings is a good help, as Maria&Xavier wrote already .... but sometimes they manage to hide their rings :D

Or Jaaklet the ospret and Jaaklet the storklet :innocent:

Regarding to remember names, I meant:

XHeli

XJaak

XKaja

quite useful :headroll:
