The thunder is a warning. Lightning means electric shock to me.

It is the other way around.

First, we see the lightning, (a little) later we hear the thunder.
That's because sound waves travel less fast than light waves.
A thunderstorm is a series of sudden electrical discharges resulting from atmospheric conditions.
These discharges result in sudden flashes of light and trembling sound waves.
Essentially, thunder is the sound produced by lightning.
OK, this was off topic.

Kõu, meaning "thunder", would be fine for me too.
(That accent mark on the o is something I didn't find on my keyboard, so I copied the word...)

(21 22 23 24...27=7sec. after that thunder- no danger!)

This gets a bit complicated depending on the keyboard language, because the special characters are not in every language.Anne7 wrote: July 16th, 2018, 4:02 pm

I found a shortcut for typing the õ on a Mac.Swenja wrote: July 16th, 2018, 6:45 pm This gets a bit complicated depending on the keyboard language because the special characters are not in every language.![]()
First type: option + n
Then type: o
I don't know how to type the õ on another PC, but Google surely will know it.

Edit: in windows "alt + 0245" should do the trick.

Well, so often we will not write the name at the moment.
If I want to write something fast, I take No.1 and later change to Kõu by copying.
If Juta leaves him in the selection ... otherwise I have to think again ... . We will see what choice is ultimately made by the stork friends. Thanks for your understanding.
What the accented characters actually means in this name Kõu ?

It is not easy to suggest names if we don´t know gender but waiting for test may take too long. On other hand we must be very careful as our storklets hopefully will be seen on birdmap and names are important.
Tomorrow morning we will close this topic and start voting.
One name came into my head and doesn´t go away
Maru - this is maybe rather male name but has several meanings. First meaning is "Storm". Also " nice, cute". There are more meanings http://eki.ee/dict/qs/index.cgi?Q=maru

Aaaach Juta, this is for me the best proposal for our thunderstorm stork 7163
.
Thunder(Kõu) is too powerful for these delicate beautiful creatures, I was not convinced of it myself ...
Maru is wonderful, many thanks
