Actually I was looking(asking Mister Google )for when and how do first year´s juveniles know that it´s time to migrate. I know it must be in their genes and inside clock but if weather and food conditions is so different some years?

maybe yes, enough food and warm wheater - thermals of hot air are very important
this year the first white storks are already on the way to Africa (2 weeks earlier)

I also think it is too dry in Europe this year and fresh food is not enough. If in the next few days the mighty high pressure zone of Europe gives way, many storks will set off.
It's interesting when Karl feeds. In the last two days. The first time around 12:40 and the second time around 15:55. Does Karl have a clock?

"ABSTRACT For many migratory species, social interactions on migration are poorly known, particularly the extent to which brood siblings remain together, at least during their first post-fledging migration. This study tested the assumption that Black Stork siblings stay together during migration and is the first time that juveniles from the same brood of a Palearctic sub-Saharan migratory stork species have been tracked on migration. Four juveniles from the same brood were followed by satellite tracking, and each dispersed or migrated in a completely different direction to its siblings. The results thus refute the idea that Black Stork siblings remain together on their first migration, but to confirm these new findings, it is important to repeat the study using additional nests." There is only data of Maru at the moment visible at autumn migration 2018.
Maru started migration just before noon yesterday and spent last night in Murmastiene, Latvia - quite close to our Latvian colleague Ugis Bergmanis. Will inform him about!
New data after six hours, hopefully.

Maru flew 131 km on the first day of his migration to the south!
I wish you good luck on your first journey, little Maru.
May you always find plenty of food and a good place to spend the night.
