the feeding ground has been deserted for some time already for some reason. i've heard some dog(s) barking in the very far distance, and before that it heard some peoples' voices. (that's enough to make the boars hit the road)... but that was a rather long time ago...
at some stage i heard a long and careful 'sniff' near the cam but no-one came into sight.
it seems that some of the bananas have been eaten but most of the grapes are untouched still.

now i hear some sniffs and footsteps again.. yes! boars! :loveshower:
five little piggies! :D
(plus i think i hear an airplane...)

are they? it's a bit difficult to see, at least to me. but i don't recognize the boars individually, even the injured boar is difficult for me if i don't see it properly... it could be if the sows who should be getting wider were leaving the heard for making dens...? but it's a bit early, isn't it? :puzzled:

i've had the headphones on and the volume very low. there have been some 'un-natural' = man-made sounds... :puzzled:
nothing very distinct though... now a dog is barking again...
the boars have been away for some time....

It's weekend again. Some of those men who take care of "our" pigs by feeding them, are passing time obviously in their hunting lodge.

This young pig does not seem so thin, but maybe most of the adults seem thinner.

Feb 27th. Good morning!
it's not sunny but there's some blue in the sky. it looks a bit like spring already. ... yes: it's +2 degrees now, and it has been above zero all night long.

a lot of bird calls around: crows, jackdaws and ravens, but few on the ground: a pair of magpies, few jays and some little birds, but they took off.

there are still a lot of bananas and the orange on the ground. the pile of grapes are slightly scattered but most of them seem to be still there...

I thought it looked like fruit but I was not sure -- funny that they do not like fruit much.

I suppose fruit is not a naturally occurring food for them, so it is unfamiliar to them.

that's what i've been thinking, too: even though boars are omnivorous they may be neophobic as well, like rats: cautious of anything new.

there was a gunshot!
a lot of little birds chirping, ravens craw-craw-crawing and jackdaws caw-caw-cawing... but no-one in sight. :whistling:
