Lodz
yesterday morning
and the quartet now
only one has "backpack", the eldest
"Najstarszy bocian został wyposażony w lokalizator plecakowy GPS. Kompletny lokalizator (z podkładką i tasiemką) waży 25 g, co stanowi 0,86% masy ciała samego bociana (2900 g). Jeśli naszemu bocianowi nic się nie przytrafi, będziemy mogli śledzić jego losy podczas wędrówki jesiennej."

Hello all together
At 17:45 they were sitting in the tree vis-à-vis the nest, all four !
Then they left for their night's lodging, one after the other, to the left side as well as to the right side

Good morning asteria, baska, solo, liz and everyone,
so the Polish storklets stay in the nest longest (when I compare Lodz, Karula and Sigulda - hatched practically in the same time). We will see until when (if the cam allows).
Baska, very nice shot of 10th Aug (all four on the tree opposite the nest tree ).
Thanks to all of you for the info.

No wonder they stay in the nest longer: their nest is OK and their way to Africa is anyway shorter than from Estonia or Latvia. So no need to hurry.

Good morning Solo, Liz, Sue, Asteria and all
Seems, they are gone ... I didn't see their departure, but one parent stork is here since an hour.
Asteria, who is Tonik&Tonicka ?

Hi Baska, the parent stork was there nearly until 14 o´clock. Now the cam does not work again (pity).
Very nice season in the "dab" this year . Good job from the parents that raised very well 4 storklets!
Happy journey and good luck to this nice Polish family of storks and I hope we will see this pair next season again!
Good evening to all of you and thanks for the info

everybody!
The nest is empty but I don't know where data from the tagged storklet are placed. It would be interesting to know whether it repeats the unusual but successful road of Woodek from last year.
