Where I saw the picture I would have to laugh. The Leo looks like he has short pants on.


It's nice to see Leo. Hope we see Lotte too ...

This evening was hooting along the ledge and between 21:00 and 21:05 Leo hooted quite near to the traditional nestplace

Yesterday was an interesting "audio-evening" here at the cam.

No sighting of Lotte, despite cam operator zoomed and looked around several times.

These all are only some cuts from a lot of warning and calling around this time.

Later, more towards midnight (I watched until ~midnight) I heard a lot of calls from Tawny Owl

But what was that animal on the first video? Lotte I've heard well afterwards .... synonymous in the second and the third video.
I heard fox voices .... that's not it.

It is always Lotte

Immediately after the first video´s start you can hear warning/alarm call of Lotte (female Eagle Owl)

Later in the videos one can hear her "usual" hoarse calls.

Sova - same here with me, when I heard this sound for the first time I couldn´t believe that this was a sound of an Eagle Owl .... I searched at xeno-canto and there found out about this alarm-call

On Camera 1 I heard shouting (do not know if it was Leo or Lotte)

On camera 2, I caught these pictures

Had only now time to cut videos from yesterday´s events

Cam operator catches Leo on top of a tree, but he flew away again quick and when cam operator zoomed to search for him he found Lotte "on the rocks" instead

Cam operator stays focussed on Lotte, but we can hear Leo simultaneously hooting and scratching near the microphone on the traditional nest place

Leo flew in to the traditional nest place at 20:43, there was already communication before between him and Lotte for minutes









Most "action" is in the beginning of the video, when Leo flew in and scratched and hooted, later he is listening to Lotte´s hoarse calls and observing vicinity most of the time. Video covers the first fifteen minutes of his visit.

But he looks very handsome all the time

Some more action from Leo at 20:59, he begins to scratch and vocalize and chuckle again.







He leaves at 21:14, Lotte can be heard calling during his visit all the time.
