A short technical question. Do you watch it in 30 sec. steps or in fast forward mode (with pot player or another software)?

Situation-dependent ..... with VLC fast-forward or 4-times-quicker than normal.

4-times-quicker is slower than fast-forward, with fast-forward short events can be overseen quickly.

Very easy, mogga - VLC and 'fast forward" If someone lands on the nest, one can again slow the motion.

Don't use very easy and the VLC player in one sentence!
But we should better talk about it within another thread...

There is someone else also chasing the stranger away, either Irma or Ivo - their alarm calls can be heard in the distance.

Jaak lands in with a fish

He leaves again at 12:12 - it must have been the fish from 12:03, Hellem reported about

Jaak can even take away a fish with him, despite his handicapped talons, but he uses his right side talons to carry the fish.

Just looking at this episode, mogga. It was so difficult for Jaak to grab and eat the fish.. especially at the beginning. He is in a very bad situation now, he can't really compete with the siblings (he is not fast in grabbing the fish), he can't hold fish properly not to talk about fishing it.

It's a bit hard to accept that nothing can be done.. Irma& Ilmar were also captured as adults. It's also hard to imagine the ring could just fall off from itself. Plastic is very strong, as Urmas said..
In either way, this is a clear case where human intervention has gone wrong. And very sad to see Jaak this way.

How could this now possibly fall off from itself, without help from external force?..

Some weeks ago I wrote at another place of loduskalender what can be done BEFORE ringing. I hope my proposals will be be considered next year.

14:43 Irma is back, Ivo brought a BIG fish and at 14:44 Irma flew away with it to the dead tree, is eating there

15:07 Kaja tried to fly to the dead tree where Irma is eating her fish but Irma waved with her wing and Kaja came back to the nest

The 14:43 fish for Irma was a nice Perch, she seemed to be very delighted about it.



Both, Irma and Ivo, left the nest after the delivery in a hurry, but I couldn´t see the reason why
Irma took the fish with her.
