:hi: Solo,

thanks for the updates.
I was just ready to post, when i saw yours, so there's no need

I'm relieved to see that VOVA has made the long journey across the Mediterranean, a long route, via Libya and is now in NIGER. Big distance !!

MARKUS enjoys the really nice place in Bulgaria and takes a break there.

KALLE made also a big distance to Congo.

ELENA ? I'd like to think, that she is enjoying the place there in Chad, out of GPS covering.

Urmas wrote: September 16th, 2018, 3:17 pm There is not enough light for to charge batteries of camera. Solar panel is a bit hided in this place, but it worked well since spring. Now the sun seems to be low to be effective.
Tõnn is still around breeding site, therefore we do not show his tracks publicly. If Tõnn starts for migration, he will shown also on migration map.

here you can read paper by "our" Urmas Sellis and his colleague https://www.researchgate.net/publicatio ... 2/download
Info from this paper - max. daily distance 828km.

btw. little mistake (by balistar) in km
Marcus: 3467km (27.09.) - 2151km (25.09. night area) = 1316km :2 = 658km/day (26.09., 2318km Markus was on the way very probably, it was only plus + 167km - near border Bulgaria -Turkey) or 3467 - 2318 = 1149 : 2 = 574,5km
