thanks a lot for all your info, now about our Woodek . What a courageous smart storklet I always remember his successful defense against the goshawk and how we were worried because of the leg transmitter he received. And then his successful journey across Mediterrranean just in the first year. I very much wish him safe journey also henceforward

I am very sorry for your sorrow, I know it is very distressing. Have a lot of joy at least from our birds these days!

CNIG04 fell in Turkey
Unfortunately, our assumptions have been confirmed that one of our little storklets is dead. The bird was found by ornithologists (Burak Tatar - thank you) from the Turkish BirdLife International and the Ministry of the Environment dead under the power line in the south of Turkey along with yet another dead black stork. Widespread landscaping is a serious problem for migratory birds. This applies to many European countries, including Poland and Bulgaria. Replacing dangerous wires with insulated cables in important bird migration sites, although expensive, is a must!
