Lotte back with her prey, not eaten yet. One can see the bird´s legs, but I can´t say which bird it was
She took off with it again

She was several times away from the nest bowl, even for hours (prey). Earlier in the night she was also standing beside/out of the nest bowl for longer.

There was no zoom on the nest bowl, and I didn´t find a moment where one can see a glimpse of an egg, when Lotte got up and/or turned around and changed position :puzzled:

There were some moments this morning where I thought she could have laid an egg, but nothing so obvious as we already could observe in the past here on this nest place.

romy, this is the whole scene 21:39-40 with Lotte getting up, turning around, stretching .... for me it looks as if one can see only Lotte´s foot? :puzzled: I really don´t know ...

Image

Puh, she scratched the nest bowl very very deep, it is so difficult to get a look at the egg

Congratulations to the first egg! :D :loveshower:

Since some days I had a look in here and crossed my fingers, that this season Lotte and Leo will choose the old nesting place. And now finally the first egg! :loveshower:

Good luck furthermore, Lotte and Leo!

Thanks a lot to all for documenting the events, for pictures and videos! :2thumbsup: I really enjoyed reading and seeing it all.

It seems that Lotte turns around quite often.

01:17 Prey for Lotte

At 01:15 Lotte suddenly called loud and got up. I was terribly frightened, because I had almost forgotten the running cam. ;-)
Leo brought her a prey. It was a bird, - smaller than a pigeon, bigger than a starling, I would say.

After the handover the good Leo disappeared within 2 seconds.

Lotte, surely satisfied, carried the prey to the nest bowl, where it disappeared from my eyes. She hasn't eat from it until now.

Thank you, Mr. Cam Operator, for panning the camera! So we could see Leo coming in. :2thumbsup:

Good morning everyone :hi:

01:17
Lotte got a nice delivery from Leo, he came to the nest bowl to hand it over, a bird (Blackbird? Thrush?)
She didn´t eat it immediately, but put it in the larder behind her
