the first bird was a swan who had landed somewhere near the place where the pond used to be. there must be water now again. one can hear the wings of the swan beating water when it takes wings.
the guest was a nuthatch (Sitta europaea).
i noticed a funny detail: the fish jaw is still hanging on the left side of the nest.
the weather has become much nicer now. the wind is very weak and it's not raining.
