yes, it is too late now for eagles to come. if we are lucky we may get a pair of buzzards or a mallard here. :whistling:

thank you ame, i think since this nest collapsed in 2017 that the eagles dont trust it anymore & i fear they will never return

Yorky, I don't really think so.
They mastered it sovereign until Sulvi became fledged. I also think that we sweated more with worry than our eagles. :rotf:
They are used to unfavourable situations and Suvi was also really great. Considering how awkwardly she started the season.

This nest was probably just not the first choice for this year for no particular reason. Unfortunately, we don't know anything about Suvi, Sulev ... .

Even if Suvi decides permanently for another nest - there will be other interested parties.
Hopefully we will discover one or the other interested person and youth WTE.

I am sure.

Thank you for your reports! :loveshower:

I have 3 nests in observation Yorky.
I can't do any more. And this year all or two of three are (again) without breeding.
But it's still exciting and I'm sure that one day these nests will produce another brood. And who would have expected a visit from an owl?

It also shows how flexible our animals are.
How they try to survive with what they have.
Very interesting!

Every day I am grateful for every camera. :loveshower:

And I wait very eagerly for the Ospreys.
Every day I look and I hope ... . :shake:

I'm sorry, I lied. I observe 3 nests and all are without brood. Deep down I hope for the Ospreys and instinctively counted one nest positive. :slap: :rotf:

yorky, this is not the same nest as in 2017 although it very much looks the same. this is in another place.
eagles don't get upset if the nest collapses. the eaglet in the Latvian nest tore the nest apart last autumn. the parents didn't mind. they rebuilt the nest on the same spot. now they have three eggs there.

Sonchik, Shanta und Retari ... great, thank you so much! Image

My stomach tells me that there is no nest in the immediate vicinity. I think we would have heard or seen the couple before. And the season is already advanced. I don't know if there are any latecomers?
Ame can certainly say more.

But I can imagine that there are young WTE in the test period. So to speak in the exercise phase. 8-)
If they stay in this area and leave the nest, they could become the new interested people I dream of.

Shanta, I don't see a ring either.

Maybe I should let the camera of this nest run longer again. I only look in sporadically and miss too much.
There seem to be highlights again and again.

:hi: all!
thank you Shanta and Sonchik for the fabulous videos - it was great to see eagles   and to know they are in the area and we might see more of them over the season, even though they are not staying on this nest.
