New update by KARL
Last data: 27.03.2019
Distance: 3.707 km (+ 16 km in 1 day).
Probably Karl has a resting day today after his long flight yesterday.
Anne :hi: , yes, these birds are absolutely amazing in their skills.
Thank you, Michi!
Yes, we have a new update on Karl. :D
He is in Israel, in the northern part of the Arava valley.

+ 16 km is indeed not a lot (so far), but maybe these data are from early morning?

After sleeping near the Nahal HaArava riverbed, he was having breakfast and is heading North again.
He will soon reach the Dead Sea and fly quickly towards his son Karula. (or his daughter) :D

Nahal HaArava is an occasionally dry riverbed in the Arava desert in Israel's Southern District.
This river forms part of the border between Israel and Jordan.

That's perfectly fine, Michi!
It is unavoidable and not a problem at all.
The more pictures the better... Thank you!

Hello, Liz
Thank you.
Yes, it is a very nice splash! :D

The afternoon data session for Karula failed
Last data received by GPRS: 2019-03-27 09:13:29 (UTC+2)
Next data session expected: 2019-03-27 21:13:29 (UTC+2)

KARL has been here before. :D
I wonder if he will fly via the east side or via the west side of the Dead Sea, this year.

Karl flew along the Dead Sea, on the west side, on the Israeli shore.

Near Neve Zohar, March 2019 :D
Image

Neve Zohar is a community settlement in southern Israel. Located on the junction of Highway 31 and Highway 90 (Zohar Junction), on the shores of the Dead Sea and 23 km from Arad by road, it falls under the jurisdiction of Tamar Regional Council. In 2017 it had a population of 60.
It is the lowest village in the world.
Neve Zohar was established in 1964 as a work camp for Dead Sea factory workers, although its immediate location was a major transport junction during numerous historical periods. It was named after the Zohar Stream, a wadi that flows into the Dead Sea.

Maybe Karula flew against Karl, but they went to the cross 8-)

At that speed "Uncle" Eedi is soon home in Estonia,
except if he stays longer there near Moldova Ponds.

Karl's pace is equally speedy as Eedi's, even though he's still in Israel.
It was a pity that he didn't take Karula with him, because it would have been
fabulous to look at their common journey. But when not, then not!

Keep the journey safe, you and your family!

Good night all!

Good morning to all
Dear Anna, I turn off the data from the office because I do not have enough time for everything. I work 9 hours every day.
Yesterday evening I lay in bed with a slight fever. For me it is no longer possible to make 2 updates for Karl and for Karula. The work is not in 5 min. finished. I hope you all understand that.

Hello, Sova. I know how much time and work it takes to make all these weather reports, every day again. It is a lot of work! I apologize if my information about the second updates yesterday came across as a reminder. That was certainly not my intention. What we all do here on the forum must remain a pleasure and should not become a burden.
Maybe we should take a break?
I wish you a quick recovery.

And hey .... for me it's still a pleasure ... just not in the moment.

Fever came and went ... I do not know why
