At first the green branch and then preening. He certainly is doing his best for Kati. :D

Crissy: the HU zoologist wrote that is "zuhanórepülés" = falling fly (?) - we see that often on HU Gemenc-nest
...
Hi Solo  That is really interesting, thanks. English translation gave me "nosedive" - literally what it is :D

Yes, he is.
And he goes on. 8-)
I think there is a good chance that we will see the first egg tomorrow morning.

Good morning, Liz!

I have seen it too! :headroll:
A very bright and white and beautiful egg in the dark!

As I'm still sleeping, I can't post a picture.

Great pictures, Solo! This camera has a good angle, with better view on the way down. Is that a hungarian nest?

Good early morning! :hi:

Thank you everyone for pictures and reports and comments - you guys are doing an amazing job with your endless effort and dedication and time spent ❤

So we have first egg  thank you Liz for the first photo :2thumbsup:

Urmas made a post on Looduskalender about our BS nest https://www.looduskalender.ee/n/node/3350 unfortunately, english version is not available at the moment, but it has great pictures too. Also Urmas mentiones, that this new male stork alias Karl II was already seen in this nest at the beginning of the season last year, but had to retreat when Karl arrived.

I made a video of few moments of tenderness between our storks, that we witnessed yesterday evening =)
