17:56:56 The male left. Finally time for going fishing.
Kati arranged the moss around the egg a bit and since 17:59 she is incubating.
I‘m sorry, I can‘t take pictures at the moment.
Thank you, Michi
I'll do the pics.

Yes, I'm also happy to see her!

It must have been a tiring day off. :D
Kati sleeps.

EDIT: Her beak looks a bit like a pine cone.

Jo UK wrote: April 13th, 2019, 2:59 pm expected arrival 2019: plus/minus April 13 (probably)
For no good reason I have had April 15th in my head as the cut-off date for Karl's arrival.
There is no significance to that date - it is an arbitrary selection.
Hello, Jo :hi:
I think that it is a reasonable date (if we need a cut-off date).
In my opinion, Karl should have been here by now.
The estimated plus/minus April 13th is based on the distances flown in the past 2 years.
I think that, if Karl is still alive, he is aware that he had been delayed, and he would have travelled faster (longer daily trajects) during the second part of his journey. It is important that they arrive on time at the nest, and Karl knows that for sure.
I'm starting to lose hope.
I only speak for myself, of course.

Anne :hi: , I've watched again the departure time of the male. It seems that the time on different computers differs by about 2 - 3 seconds.
On my tablet the male left at 17:56:56, on my laptop he left already at 17:56:54, - see picture including time stamp below. In your pic he's still on nest at 17:56:56. :D

But it doesn't really matter.

No, Michi, it doesn't really matter, I suppose. :D
It was a typo. I looked back and see that my screenshot mentions 17:56:49 (and not 17:56:56)
I somehow stuttered and said twice "56"

EDIT: Now I see what happened. I didn't stutter, I was lazy and just copied the timings that you had written. :D

P.S. I always supposed that the timestamps (camera time) are the same on all computers? Are they not? :puzzled:

These pics are so cute.
The male adores his egg-laying goddess.
He really goes out of his way to please Kati.

It is getting dark in Karula Park.

Whoever is the first to get out of bed tomorrow morning,
will be able to take the very first photograph of egg number 2. :D
