It's been a long night for Milda; She had a concert of baby songs and it was loud.

Now, that we have 3 of them, i think it'll be better to adopt the American style and give them numbers. It's shorter to write and easier than "little one" or middle or big or first. They give the real name only after they grow up in the nest.

If Angelina is D1, last season is D2 + D3, so this one is D4.

I hope you'll accept it, even only in this forum.

... i must admit that i am personally so enthusiastic about this style. calling the babies with a letter+number code sounds so impersonal.
no-one would call their baby R2 before the baby gets an official name. babies usually have proper nicknames even before birth, don't they?

Yes, there is something in it and they are doing it because of that...
Someone explained once that there are many accidents on nest, just last week a mom carried a new born on her foot and dropped it in nest, last minute before she flew out.
As we are getting attached to them, they say it's much easier when you deal with a number at the first weeks and later you already get to know the character of the eaglet and you can give him the real name.

the stream didn't run for a few minutes and now Raimis is feeding the baby.
the chick is reaching so high and holding it head an beak against the sky.
it wiggled it tiny wings, too.


i made a close-up clip of the feeding. i can't say if the chick really ate anything but it was seriously reaching for food and Raimis had tiny bits in his beak. he was also salivating a lot.


i think they also changed during the break. i think it was Milda in the nest before the stream stopped and the feeder was Raimis. or did they change earlier?

i have searched through the night time videos now and they are being uploaded to the Tube now.
i don't think it is worthwhile posting them all here. you can look in my channel if you want to watch them. i'll just add a few more interesting ones here.

i think that the egg-talked changed to chick-talk sometime between 1 am and 2 am. it's impossible to say the time more precisely because the Moon didn't give enough light although it was bright. it seemed that the egg/chick didn't let mummy sleep much before early morning. after about 2 there was less activity. i suppose the baby itself slept.

0:25 i think this was still the egg talking here. Milda rolled the eggs and then i think she went to the toilet. (i'm not quite sure; the splash-sounds weren't monumental this time )


1:25 Milda banged her wings and then she called loud. it was the nocturnal visitor again! Milda was really upset.
i made a video with light-enhancement and increased contrast.


i don't know if the manipulation helped much. there was again a shadow which flashed in the top right corner. it was "visble in two frames, but it can be seen better in moving picture.
