Sawdust was there last year too, but owl's face was always clean
There may be snow inside the nest too, together with sawdust. I just can't imagine what else it could be.

A few more technical details from Renno -Jo UK wrote: Renno says that the webcam stream depends on the owls. If they start to breed then there will be a rush to get the stream going.
Maybe a little more news in a few minutes, but that is the answer, really.
Klaus and Klaara, it's up to you!
It will depends on owls - if they start to
breed then we must rush to get the stream running. Aivar told
that next week he will get computer from mr LK. which is necessary to make the steam (about 100m from the cam). We have quite bad connection there and unfortunately it is not possible to get better one...
Thats pity,
Renno

Obviously, she is with child and very defensive. I'll subdue her with this large piece of wood. (c) Raccoon Willie

I am confused over Klaras behavior. She act as she is teasing someone outside in the dark and escape to the nest and than away directly.
Do you have any theory aboute it?

abvgd, I can sort of imagine how you can get captures at all hours of the day and night but you post them as well.
